OMG! The price of gas must be taking new diet pills or something!! Can you see the prices? $1.89 per gallon, but wait - that was yesterday!! Last night we stopped and filled up to the tune of $1.86 by the latest sign numbers, and we got 10 cents off of that per gallon using our shoppers awards card! So in the end it was only $1.76 per gallon. I haven't seen gas prices that low in a very long time. I do remember when even this price was something we were all complaining about when it first started happening. If my memory is still intact, I am thinking that back in 1999 we were only paying around $1.20 for it. From what facts I can understand, the reason the price of gas keeps dropping has to do with the price of the barrels of oil, but also the lack of demand for it. I know our family uses as little as possible, and we are taking absolutely no trips to anywhere that aren't necessary. Maybe there are a lot more people like us out there that we thought. Back in the good old days, we used to pile up the kids and just take a drive soemtimes. Not anymore! Even with the prices dropping, it still isn't feasible. Now it should be time for the prices of groceries to follow along and come back down to earth as well. Dream on eh?
