PRAYING FOR A MILD WINTER

Supposedly it is supposed to be a mild winter for these parts. I am praying we don't have a repeat of last year with the horrid ice storms that took out my Persimmon trees and much of the towns' electricity. So far I guess it really hasn't been that bad, but it has been pretty cold. Our furnace has been broken since we have lived here (And no the landlord won't fix it...) so we depend on two electric heaters for warmth, along with pile and piles of blankets. Socks do amazing things for the body as well. We have been looking for another house for quite some time, but there never seems to be anything that fits into our budget. (If it does - it's just another slum.) I am glad we have a roof over our heads, but sometimes I just get so tired of trying to make this crappy house a home.....
