I always knew that at some point I would have to deal with "in-laws" in some manner or another. I really never had a bad time with my own, as I loved my first husbands' mother, and my second husbands' mom lived two States away. But oh my gawd. My daughters' fiance and his family. Hello. This boy better shape up and get things together. And his family needs to quit. I sit here typing, dark circles under eyes and only one cup of coffee down the gullet. My stomach is in knots, and I have been trying my best to bite my tongue, but it's about to get ugly....
My family has purchased almost EVERYTHING that this baby needs. Right down to the diapers and wipes. WE have had to scrimp and save and work to do it. Her FATHER was successful in getting her back on his insurance, so almost the ENTIRE medical bill for this whole thing is being paid for by HIM. What has this boy bought for his own daughter? A diaper bag, a few outfits, and uh.... well not a whole hell of a lot more. He's not actively looking for a real job, not getting anywhere in getting her out of that gawd awful apartment, and yet - they always seem to be going out to eat. Last weekend he had her out 4 WHEELING in a truck. Wow. So flippin smart. Take a girl who is 9 months pregnant out to go muddin. Jesus - why not put her on roller skates ya dumbass!! Supposedly they don't even have the money to mail out the damn Thank You cards from the baby shower. So guess who gets to pay for that?? Oh me.
Then we find out that her brother and sister won't even be allowed at the hospital to have a short visit after the baby is born. How retarded. I mean I halfway get it, but then again if the kids are well behaved and quiet and healthy.... ya know? Grrr....
I guess at this point the wallets on my side of the family have to close up shop. They are never going to learn to be responsible any other way. Besides, his family can pitch in just as well. So far I haven't seen anything of substance come from them - a walker which is completely useless for at least 6 months - wooo. Oh wait - his mother bought a crib frame - no mattress - to keep at her house. Inflippintelligent.

Sounds like you may need to take the boy aside & give him a special Becky talk. ( amd maybe a smack upside the head) lol
((((hugs)))) to you Becaroo.
I would love to. But it would be pointless. And probably get the girl child all pissed off....
.... as useless - as a screen door - on a submarine....
And it just keeps getting better...
Breath deep......in & out in & out. <3
