Why do people have to be so unkind to one another? We only get one journey through this life, and I think it's too short to be so mean and hateful. I just don't understand it......

i think it's because people are unhappy on themselves. I guess you know the feeling when you're unhappy. - everything seems to be bad. Some of the people know that and may think that this is just a 'periode of life'. Others may not acknowledge that. So they try to overwrite that by telling others they're bad.
Of course it's really really thick but everyone is stamped with bad times in life.
So that's in my opinion the reason why there is 'hate' and failure and other bad things. ;)
